We Can’t Sew

Cowseahorse

ML’s grandma was a home economics teacher. As her daughter, I didn’t learn to sew. She tried to teach me, but some things are best learned from people other than your mom. Why did I need to know how to sew anyway?

The books illustrated by Clare Beaton motivate me to learn to sew. The illustrations are created from felt, buttons, embroidery, ribbons, etc. I love There’s a Cow in the Cabbage Patch. After all, my grandfather was a dairy farmer. “There’s a cow in the cabbage patch, moo, moo, moo. She should be in the dairy. What shall we do?”

ML’s favorite is Secret Seahorse. Makes sense. She spends lots of time at the beach with her grandparents.
